Questions about official Gloucester County criminal records belong with the public office that created or maintains the document. The contacts below route court files to the right clerk, county arrest and booking material to the Sheriff and Jail, and statewide criminal-history requests to Virginia State Police. This is a private reference resource, not a Gloucester County or Virginia government office.

This Is Not a Government Office. We cannot retrieve or correct a record, perform an official background check, issue a certified copy, or accept an expungement petition.

Gloucester does not publish a standalone Sheriff's Records Division counter or its own online jail roster. Call first for releasable custody information. For court papers, use the clerk for the court that heard the stage of the case. Sheriff staff no longer process crash-report requests; those go through Virginia DMV.
